Case study: Health Care Without Harm at COP28

Climate Acceptance Studios provided communication strategy and project management services for Health Care Without Harm, an international NGO at COP28 in Dubai.

"Tom from Climate Acceptance Studios displayed exceptional professionalism while managing the complex communications delivery for COP28. Despite facing many setbacks and last-minute changes, he worked tirelessly in Dubai to ensure smooth communication between our network, partners, and stakeholders across the globe. The feedback from our delegation was outstanding, and we hope to work with him and his team again in the future."

Diana Picon Manyari, International Climate Director, Health Care Without Harm

The delegation sent by Health Care Without Harm was its largest and most diverse ever, consisting of 12 members from Australia, Brazil, India, Mexico, South Africa, South East Asia, the UK, and the United States.

Climate Acceptance Studios provided the following services:

  • Strategic input for the development and delivery of headline messaging
  • Developed an online presence for the global comms team, including web copy and social media toolkits
  • Acted as the on-the-ground press contact, coordinating between multiple regional comms teams
  • Promoted and, in one case, ran their events in Dubai.
  • Produced all the video content, often delivering it on the same day as filming.

"I wouldn't have been able to achieve the level of impact I did for the COP28 campaign without the support of Tom and his team at Climate Acceptance Studios. I worked with them almost daily, and Tom handled everything from coordinating brand design and social media toolkits before our trip to on-the-ground press coordination during our stay. He made sure that we had maximum media impact. Tom is a proactive individual and a pleasure to work with. He reminds me of myself!"

Shweta Narayan, Global Climate & Health Campaigner, Health Care Without Harm

"It was an absolute pleasure working with Tom. He is dedicated, hard-working and always coming up with creative new ideas that have enhanced our work. Tom and his team produced high-quality video content both on the ground and working remotely, meeting tight deadlines and drawing praise from our board and partners worldwide. Tom also organized the logistics for a high-level roundtable discussion at COP28 that brought together leaders from across the globe to discuss the future of climate and health. Given the seniority of the guests, a lot was riding on the day, and Tom managed the event flawlessly, making it one of the best-run events that I have ever experienced at our organization."

Josh Karliner, Director of Global Partnerships, Health Care Without Harm
